About the position

The Product Sourcing Manager at McLane Global is responsible for overseeing the strategic procurement of branded consumer products for international distribution. This role focuses on developing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to align with the company's business objectives. The position requires a strong understanding of market trends and the ability to react to changes in the business environment to ensure timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities

  • Source US-branded products for distribution in international markets.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business needs.
  • Establish and build vendor relationships.
  • Negotiate exclusive distribution agreements with marketing and promotional budgets to support brands.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Manage vendor documentation including food safety documents, certifications, export documents, item specifications, ingredient and nutrition facts, etc.
  • Maintain the relationship and facilitate communications between the vendor and various departments.
  • Analyze market trends to source trending, innovative, and in-demand products/brands.
  • Manage the procurement and forecasting process to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • React to changes in business & market environment by focusing on new products/trends.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business level or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years of experience in CPG/consumer goods company as detailed in the role content.
  • Proven experience in product sourcing and procurement in food/grocery/consumer products.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external networks.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly growing and dynamic changing environment.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • A proven disciplined self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (D365 knowledge helpful).
