About the position
The Product Specialist in Manufacturing Engineering at JCB North America is responsible for the creation, verification, and management of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the implementation of error-proof processes. This role supports product improvement initiatives and tooling enhancements while ensuring effective communication and problem-solving within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Creation, verification, and management of SOPs
- Implementation of error proof processes
- Close out of low level PCMs
- Support for PI and NPI change
- Support for kaizen initiatives
- Assist in tooling and fixture improvements/replacement
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical assembly, fabrication, and paint repairs
- Understanding of fabrication and assembly processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP
- Ability to learn and operate hand measuring tools
- General knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding processes
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented and self-directed
- Flexibility with work activities; available for overtime
Nice-to-haves
- Associates degree in relevant course work
- Two years reading and interpreting blueprints in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience at mechanical repairs
