About the position

The Product Specialist at Revere Electric Supply Company is responsible for providing engineering sales support for Rockwell Automation PAC/HMI/Software products in the S.E. Wisconsin territory. This role involves local travel to customers and requires a self-directed approach to meet the Corporate Strategic Business Plan. The successful candidate will leverage their technical acumen to support business unit products and engage in both pre and post-sales technical support, training, and seminars.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering sales support for the specification, selection, and sales of automation products to customers.
  • Support the Corporate Strategic Business Plan and maintain technical acumen for related Business Unit products.
  • Identify and demonstrate technology solutions for customer applications.
  • Provide pre and post technical support for internal and external customers.
  • Conduct training and seminars for customers to drive interest in Revere solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate sales efforts to identify and close account conversion and project sales opportunities.
  • Promote the value-add of assigned products in competitive situations.
  • Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and close orders for assigned products.
  • Develop and execute strategies for market share growth.
  • Communicate commercial and technical product issues to vendors.

Requirements

  • Four-year engineering/technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Industrial Automation market.
  • Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Automation standards and terminology.
  • Knowledge of control systems and computer technology.
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture is a plus.
  • Strong application knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient with Windows based operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated.

  • Core competency in PLC / PAC / HMI / IO / Networks and related software.
  • Strong presentation skills in group and individual situations.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and support a distributor organization.
  • Strong arbitration skills to effectively listen, communicate, and gain consensus.
  • Ability to develop and support marketing, promotional, and commercial programs.
  • Be a thought leader on Social Media platforms.
