About the position
The Product Specialist for Valve Automation Products at Ferguson Enterprises is a pivotal role focused on driving sales and supporting growth in the Louisiana market. This position requires a passionate individual with experience in selling valve automation products, who will take on account responsibility and mentor other associates. The role involves maintaining customer relationships, providing technical support, and collaborating with sales teams to enhance product visibility and market acceptance.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new Valve Automation business at industrial end users
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and use technical knowledge to grow sales
- Provide feedback to sales leadership on trends, market acceptance of products, and overall performance
- Support Louisiana outside sales team for Valve Automation products
- Interact and develop relationships with key vendors to support sales at the accounts in your market
- Work with inside sales team and valve technicians, fostering teamwork and growth
- Present Valve Automation products to customers and engineering offices
- Develop and maintain relationships with engineering offices driving product specification
Requirements
- 5 years experience in selling Valve & Automation products is required
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of integrity in problem solving, leadership, and listening skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets, and mobile devices
- Ability to overcome objections and manage customer expectations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Associate will need to reside in the greater Louisiana area
