About the position

The Institutional Credit Management Business Manager (C13) at Citi is responsible for enhancing the business control and governance framework within the Institutional Credit Management (ICM) function. This role focuses on managing credit risk activities across the Institutional Client Group, ensuring integrated credit underwriting, measurement, management, and monitoring. The Business Manager will support training, talent, engagement, and communications initiatives, collaborating with various stakeholders to drive performance and governance within ICM.

Responsibilities

  • Support all recurring and ad-hoc processes related to training, talent, engagement, and communications across Institutional Credit Management.
  • Provide direct training and communications support for the Wholesale Lending Product Management pillar and others within ICM.
  • Partner with ICM pillar and industry heads to ascertain core training needs and support accordingly.
  • Handle routine and ad hoc training reporting.
  • Manage administrative processes associated with Credit Officer and Senior Credit Officer designation.
  • Compile presentation materials related to the end-to-end performance management process for ICM.
  • Organize and lead ICM-wide Voice of Employee (VOE) initiatives to increase participation in centrally driven activities.
  • Support the Head of ICM Talent and Communications on ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Monitor and track key performance drivers across ICM in partnership with the Head of Talent and Communications and Training and Communications Leads.
  • Determine appropriate metrics to measure performance across all ICM pillars.
  • Collaborate with internal ICM reporting teams to track and measure progress and performance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or higher degree in Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance, Risk Management, Operations, Underwriting, Human Resources, or Project Management.
  • Prior Credit Risk experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, analytical, and influencing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to partner at a strategic level.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and schedules simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable working with senior executives.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate creative solutions.
  • Ability to interact and influence effectively with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize deliverables with concurrent deadlines.
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and make decisions without constant guidance.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to perform primary job functions independently with minimal supervision.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Language skills in addition to English preferred (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese).
