About the position

The Product Strategy and Plan Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of the lending lifecycle, including loan closing and servicing coordination, client onboarding, data management, and quality control. This position is responsible for ensuring operational oversight of loan transactions, meeting both internal and external requirements, and contributing to the development of processes and technology enhancements within the lending division.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the build and development team to support loan origination and lifecycle management.
  • Assist with the creation of processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and implementation of transaction management.
  • Aid in the design and implementation of technology including testing and rollout.
  • Provide training and support to transaction management staff and business constituents.
  • Partner with originating and coverage business lines, credit risk, operations, legal, etc.
  • Ensure quality of data, controls, and processes meet internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with lines of business to define and implement operational metrics and risk and control reviews.
  • Constantly improve processes, controls, and efficiencies within the group and across the loan lifecycle.
  • Participate in projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain a deal closing pipeline of loan transactions.
  • Coordinate and close loan transactions/lifecycle events, capture data, store documentation, troubleshoot issues, and perform quality control.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in managing wholesale lending products.
  • Hands-on experience in identifying and managing key risks and controls effectively.
  • Experience within a large global financial institution supporting execution of controls in multiple lines of businesses.
  • Knowledge of wholesale loan products including legal loan documentation and funding mechanics.
  • Experience working with clients under time constraints to facilitate transactions.
  • Understanding of corporate and regulatory policies related to wholesale lending products.
  • Deep understanding of operational processes supporting lending products lifecycle.
  • Knowledge in quality control and assurance activities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and manage priorities with minimal management follow-up.
  • High proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Tableau or other visualization tools.
  • Strong client relationship management and solution skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management.
  • Critical decision-making capabilities and ability to propose solutions to problems.
  • Ability to multitask and follow up with stakeholders to drive resolution.

  • Familiarity with KPI/metrics driven cultures.
