About the position
The Product Strategy Senior Advisor role within the Strategic Insights and Solutions team at Cigna is designed for analytical experts who will provide insights and recommendations to manage benefit costs for clients. This position involves data retrieval, analysis, and modeling to support product discussions and customized solutions, ultimately driving down healthcare spending. The Senior Advisor will collaborate with team members and clients to create actionable insights and manage project deliverables effectively.
Responsibilities
- Use SQL, BiQuery, Excel, and Tableau for analytical requests and opportunity identification.
- Leverage reports and tools at Express Scripts for data analysis and comparisons.
- Perform analysis of claims utilization, including trends and key performance indicators.
- Conduct deep analysis on client data to identify opportunities.
- Create visualizations of insights using various reporting tools.
- Collaborate with team members on analysis, strategy, and client consultation.
- Project manage deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Provide recommendations based on subject matter expertise to clients and account teams.
- Support custom product development and pilot solutions.
- Work directly with Account Team to support client insights.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in the healthcare or PBM industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- Technical knowledge of relational databases, querying, and decision support tools (SQL, BiQuery, Excel, Tableau).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in building queries, pulling data, and performing complex analyses.
- Ability to evaluate data and drive actionable insights.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations and recommend solutions.
- Knowledge in core product pillars: Pharmacy optimization, Drug optimization, Benefit optimization, Clinical optimization, Medicare/Medicaid.
