About the position

The Manager of Data and Analytics at Kubota Tractor Corp leads a team focused on delivering comprehensive data solutions and insights to enhance the operations and performance of the Product Support enterprise. This role involves creating a vision for data accessibility, implementing tools and strategies, and ensuring that data from various sources is readily available for the Data and Analytics team and self-serve end users. The manager is expected to be a subject matter expert in data engineering, architecture, and analytics, guiding a team of data scientists and technical professionals to improve operational efficiencies and streamline processes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate procedures and technologies utilized by the organization and develop standardized, repeatable processes for data engineering and analytics.
  • Create and maintain environments and tools for self-serve analytics across the Product Support organization.
  • Drive standardization of metrics and reporting across the organization.
  • Lead the development of data-driven solutions to enhance productivity, quality, sales, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recommend improvement ideas to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide support to all areas of the Product Support Division and troubleshoot day-to-day questions.
  • Create tools to support Product Support field staff with dealers and improve dealer access to relevant data.
  • Lead and prioritize technical and analytical Product Support projects.
  • Implement and maintain a data-driven project management methodology (e.g., Agile, Six Sigma).
  • Liaison between end-users, PMO, IT, and consultants to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Review programs and procedures to validate improvement opportunities and manage risks.
  • Ensure development of documentation to support efficient operations and define business functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, data science, or business intelligence in product support or related fields.
  • Strong technical, analytical, project management, and computer skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of big data technology and associated tools/products (e.g., Power BI, SAP S4, SAS).
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Experience with SAP S4 Hana, EWM, and BW preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with user and/or statistical programming and statistical modeling.
  • Understanding of advanced statistical concepts and optimization techniques.
  • Project management experience and Lean skills (TPS, Six Sigma) preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with demand/inventory planning systems.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional supply chain knowledge.
