About the position

The Product Support Engineer role focuses on providing production support for the Data Engineering team within a leading financial services company. The position involves coordinating with various teams to ensure the deployment of code, automation, and monitoring of batch jobs, while maintaining application availability. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting migration to strategic platforms like cloud and adhering to ITIL standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for the Data Engineering team.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure, Network Security, and Support teams across Market Surveillance technology.
• Responsible for deployment of code and automation of processes.
• Monitor batch jobs and ensure application availability.
• Support migration to strategic platforms like cloud.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding third-party solutions and Information Security.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle, data ingestion, storage, querying, processing, and analysis.
• Expertise in scheduling tools like Autosys and Yoda.
• Strong Unix/Linux skills and experience in writing shell scripts.
• Oracle & SQL DB expertise with strong SQL skills for complex queries.
• Experience in data load management, ETL, and Cloud Platforms.
• Experience with infrastructure setup and Data Center/Cloud Migration.
• Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines and managing Kubernetes.
• Ability to convert Hive/SQL queries into Spark transformations using Spark RDDs/Data frames, Scala.
• Experience in developing, installing, and configuring Hadoop ecosystem components.
• Good knowledge of ETL procedures for data transformation according to business rules.
