About the position

The Product Support Technical Program Manager at Joby Aviation will play a crucial role in developing the OEM support infrastructure for specialized maintenance tooling. This position involves cross-functional project coordination and schedule management, focusing on the deployment of aircraft tooling that interfaces with the Joby S4. The role requires collaboration with various teams within the organization to ensure successful project execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams on project scope definition and development planning for specialized aircraft maintenance tools.
• Manage project execution through multiple phases, including scope definition, requirements drafting, implementation, and verification.
• Develop and maintain timelines and project schedules related to the aftermarket portfolio.
• Prioritize initiatives in an evolving organization, ensuring critical deliverables are identified and completed.
• Facilitate communication throughout the organization regarding the value proposition and operational need for specialized tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in an integrated product development environment.
• Program or project management experience preferred.
• Ability to manage both short-term urgent and long-term strategic projects.
• Self-starter comfortable with solving open-ended problems.
• Ability to translate large strategies into actionable roadmaps for fast implementation.

Nice-to-haves

• Aviation or aerospace experience or experience in other regulated industries (Pharma, Medical Device, etc.).
• Experience in product support, customer support, or customer success organizations.
• Degree or equivalent experience in controls automation, computer science/engineering, or electrical engineering.
