About the position

The Product Tech Support Engineer III (HVAC/R) role at Johnson Controls involves providing technical support for Data Center Accounts, ensuring high-quality service across all product offerings. This position requires a strong background in HVAC&R products and the ability to analyze complex system problems, contributing to product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Field Sales & Service organization for Data Center Accounts.
• Create and maintain technical service bulletins and updates to the Solutions Database.
• Process warranty claims in a timely manner to facilitate data mining.
• Drive product reliability through the Continuous Improvement Process.
• Create test plans for new and existing product equipment offerings.
• Adjust effectively to changes in work responsibilities or environment.
• Develop novel solutions with measurable value for customers.
• Implement service practices that meet customer needs and organizational goals.
• Ensure accountability against performance metrics and improve operational discipline.
• Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative information to identify problems and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related Technical/Scientific field and a minimum of eight (8) years' of technical experience with HVAC&R products, or fifteen (15) years' of HVAC&R experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex product system problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
• Adept at troubleshooting the refrigeration cycle as applied to air-conditioning duty on Applied Equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally.
