About the position

The Product and Technical Services Manager at Glen Raven is responsible for developing and promoting technical support and solutions to meet business initiatives. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure successful product launches and is recognized as an industry expert in the FR/AR market segment. The position is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new market opportunities while evaluating emerging technology and business issues that may present opportunities or challenges in support of sales and customer-facing efforts.
  • Cultivate meaningful partnerships with a diverse set of global vendors to establish competitive advantages for Glen Raven.
  • Oversee world-class quality standards for the GlenGuard product line.
  • Develop a strategic plan for bringing new products from concept to commercialization, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Strategic Development.
  • Develop quality agreements, SOPs, etc. with manufacturing partners for new products.
  • Perform periodic vendor audits to ensure supplier quality and continuous improvement.
  • Manage a continuous improvement and cost reduction plan for all products.
  • Serve as a leader and create working environments where employees are equipped and driven to excel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technical textile work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the technical/manufacturing areas of the textile industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in communicating with team members across business units and functions.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • A robust aptitude for leading through influence, setting direction, and delivering results.
  • Customer focus: Understand, monitor, and respond to the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Understanding of P&L responsibilities and a profit-conscious mindset.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Ability to write reports and findings clearly for others to understand.
  • Skills to present verbal presentations effectively to a group.
  • An out-of-the-box mentality for developing plans to bring new ideas to market.
  • Personality to work with vendors, partners, and customers to achieve common goals.
