About the position

Woodward is seeking a Product Technology Manager focused on Military product and service offerings. This role is responsible for providing marketing, commercial, and technical expertise for the application and development of new products and systems based on conceptual customer and market segment requirements. The individual will lead marketing processes that include customer communications, proposals, presentations development, and maintaining product strategies and roadmaps. The position involves collaboration with Military Services and OEM teams to develop new and existing product offerings, aiming for continual business growth through product and contractual enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Conducts market studies that define market potential of new products
• Accountable for the development, communication, and execution of strategic plans for traditional products and markets, including product roadmaps
• Includes external measurements of product performance: market share, revenue, customer satisfaction, and profitability
• Includes internal measurements of product life cycle, quality, technical support, marketing programs, and sales support
• Provides strategic direction in research and development initiatives and projects
• Evaluates and recommends product profitability; maintains cost reduction, pricing increase, or rationalization
• Coordinates with other functional areas as appropriate
• Develops and executes product launch plans
• Creates product literature, promotional material, and internal positioning documents in conjunction with existing sales models
• Identifies and creates strategies for new products and markets for organic and inorganic growth
• Develops and grows relationships with key contacts at large accounts and industry experts
• Responsible for product and system pricing utilizing pricing policy
• Manages traditional products through the entire Product Life Cycle (PLC)
• Provides commercial leadership during all phases of new product introduction when related to multiple customers
• Leads/participates in the development of proposal strategies
• Leads systems architecture definition on new and existing products, including BOA analysis to address well-defined customer needs
• Collaborates with internal departments/stakeholders to develop near-term strategies through funnel reviews to increase business with existing and new customers
• Participates in customer meetings to deliver technical presentations
• Performs product introduction and training to internal and external customers

Requirements

• US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
• 5 plus years Experience with energy control technologies in a technical role with demonstrated commercial aptitude, or expertise in product line management
• Additional formal training in specialized areas such as Negotiations, Product Management, Financial Analysis, Business Development, Strategic Selling, and Large Account Management

• Estimated annual base pay: $127,200.00 (minimum) - $159,000.00 (midpoint) - $190,800.00 (maximum)
• CALIFORNIA ONLY- Estimated annual base pay: $140,000.00 (minimum) - $175,000.00 (midpoint) - $210,000.00 (maximum)
