Universal Instruments is seeking a Product Trainer/Instructional Designer III to join our team in Conklin, NY. This full-time position is integral to our mission of providing advanced automation assembly equipment solutions that are utilized in the production of high-tech gadgets across various industries, including electronics, automotive, military, and medical sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing product training and performance support solutions, as well as delivering product training to both internal and external customers. This role also involves supporting our eLearning platform and developing web modules to enhance our training offerings. In this position, you will design and assist in the creation of Universal product training courses and support solutions, ensuring adherence to UIC course design standards. You will participate in product development processes and support planning, defining training deliverables that align with product changes. A key aspect of your role will be to champion ease-of-use and systemic product design/support solutions, continuously improving your knowledge and skills to maintain expertise in all assigned products and courses. You will also be responsible for maintaining Universal Product Trainer Certifications for each assigned course and developing course materials that ensure training effectiveness. As a Product Trainer, you will deliver engaging product training courses with a focus on hands-on student performance, monitor student satisfaction through surveys and feedback, and communicate significant issues to relevant departments. You will independently maintain the classroom, lab, and equipment to ensure they are in working order for effective training delivery. Additionally, you will design and develop engaging content for asynchronous training, collaborating with leadership, product trainers, customers, and subject matter experts. You will manage the end-to-end development cycle of eLearning modules, from defining learning objectives to deploying the final product on a Learning Management System (LMS). Other job-related duties may be assigned as necessary.
