About the position

As a Product & Visual Designer on the Design Systems team at Salesforce, you will play a pivotal role in evolving our design system across our suite of products. This position involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, usability, accessibility, and delightful user experiences across Salesforce applications. You will help shape the North Star vision of our design system with a focus on UI elements such as components, page layouts, illustrations, icons, and data visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation of our next-gen design system, new UI, and Figma libraries that scale across Salesforce products
  • Focus on visual design aspects of the design system such as designing reusable icons, illustrations, and data visualizations
  • Ensure all visual designs align with Salesforce's brand guidelines and maintain a high standard of quality and consistency
  • Define and document design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure cohesive experiences
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, writers, and engineers to integrate the design system into product development workflows
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusivity within the design system to ensure all users have a seamless experience
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with a focus on visual design, design systems, and UX/UI design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design process, visual design skills, and experience with design systems
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles, typography, color theory, and layout
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale
  • Experience with accessibility standards and best practices in design
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team
  • Ability to collaborate on a team that works around the world in various time zones
  • Self-motivated, a good communicator, and able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines
