About the position
The Machine Operator position at Aerotek involves operating various machines in a manufacturing environment, primarily focusing on die cutting, laminating, slitting, and laser cutting. The role requires a combination of machine operation and quality inspection, ensuring that production meets specified guidelines and safety standards. The position is fully on-site in Hartland, Wisconsin, and offers multiple shifts for flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Operate various machines such as die cutting, laminating, slitting, laser cutting, and kiss cutting.
- Perform 75% machine operating and 25% inspection using micrometers and calipers.
- Load machine with specific roll or product based on work order.
- Set-up press according to established guidelines, ensuring safety and job requirements.
- Monitor production quality throughout the run, adjust cutting depth, and ensure clean cuts.
- Complete jobs according to ticket specifications, including producing overruns and production samples.
- Troubleshoot and correct problems, communicate effectively with other departments, and ensure accurate and timely production reporting.
- Comply with all safety rules and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- 1+ years of machine operation experience preferably from the printing industry (die cutting, laminator machine, slitter machine).
- Strong math skills.
- Able to work independently.
