About the position

The Production and Operations Manager is a key role responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process within the facility. This position requires a proactive and forward-thinking individual who can effectively manage staff, optimize production procedures, and maintain quality standards while ensuring efficient operations and timely production of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate production team activities on the assembly line
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands
  • Optimize operational efficiencies and advise management regarding potential opportunities for improvement, both long- and short-term
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance performance
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and resolve issues
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other machinery as needed
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate stock levels

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
  • Strong understanding of assembly line processes and warehouse operations
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts
  • Ability to assemble and fabricate components accurately
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities to address production challenges effectively
