About the position

The Production Artist / Graphic Designer position is a full-time role focused on the design and production of high-quality digital print and graphic materials, particularly signage. The role involves collaborating with clients on design and creative direction, as well as managing the production process, which includes printing, laminating, and mounting finished products. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong design skills, and have a desire to grow in the field of production art and graphic design.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality digital print and graphic materials, primarily signage.
• Collaborate with clients on design and creative direction.
• Manage workflow, including pre-production file preparation and RIP.
• Operate large-format inkjet printers and handle laminating, trimming, and mounting of finished products.
• Participate in occasional field installation work.

Requirements

• Graduated from a two or four-year college program in graphic arts, design, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of training or equivalent experience in production/design.
• Proficient in Adobe CS applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), Corel Draw, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Excellent math skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills and projects.

• Experience in typography.
• Desire to learn and grow as a skilled production artist and designer.
