About the position

Vanair has been a leader in Mobile Power Solutions since 1972, providing air compressors, generators, welders, hydraulics, Electrified Power Equipment, and engine starters. We are seeking a Production Assembly Associate to join our team in Michigan City, Indiana. This role involves assembling purchased parts and various components to create finished products using hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will be driven, motivated, and ready to take on challenges in a rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and bills of material; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Install parts and subassemblies according to assembly drawings and on-the-job training.
• Assemble components by examining connections for proper fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Resolve assembly problems by notifying the line supervisor for additional resources or direction.
• Train co-workers in production assembly as needed.
• Complete production documentation as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with Vanair procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Proficient in using a tape measure.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
