The Production Assistant at Tootie's Tempeh plays a crucial role in supporting the Operations Manager and fellow Production Assistants in the tempeh-making and packaging processes. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about healthy food and fermentation, with an opportunity to become a worker-owner after one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the tempeh-making process including line work for packaging.
• Perform heat/cool treatment, drying, and packaging of tempeh.
• Label case boxes and ensure proper clean-up/washing/sanitizing of work areas.

Requirements

• Prior food production experience is helpful.
• Experience working with food-related equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
