About the position
The Production Assistant role at Hudapack Metal Treatment involves supporting the production process by managing customer interactions, inventory control, and clerical tasks. The position requires effective communication with sales and drivers, as well as the ability to track and review materials to assist the Production Manager in establishing work instructions. This is a full-time position with a focus on professionalism and organization.
Responsibilities
- Act as a customer representative via phone, e-mail, and in person.
- Utilize computer software for various tasks.
- Manage inventory control and ensure necessary supplies are available.
- Perform clerical duties and document control.
- Track and review received materials to assist the Production Manager.
- Retrieve quotes, customer information, and read blueprints as needed.
- Communicate with sales and drivers regarding pickups and customer issues.
Requirements
- Professional demeanor to fulfill customer needs and company standards.
- Proficient in all software applications, including MS Word; Visual Shop experience is a plus.
- Ability to anticipate inventory needs before depletion.
- Operate all office equipment efficiently.
- Maintain neatness and organization in the workspace.
- Track jobs for delivery dates and assist in reviewing received materials.
- Retrieve files, quotes, or customer information as required.
- Communicate effectively with sales and drivers.
