About the position
Creative Foam Corporation is seeking a dedicated Production Associate for the 1st shift in Flint, MI. Since 1969, Creative Foam has been a leader in designing and manufacturing cellular and non-cellular foams and plastics, primarily serving the automotive industry. As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of assigned machines, contributing to the overall success of the production process. In this role, you will be responsible for starting up machines promptly, inspecting and verifying their working condition, and preparing tooling for production. You will maintain correct machine parameter set points throughout your shift and ensure that all necessary data is accurately entered into the Plex system. Quality assurance is a key aspect of this position; you will ensure that the foam produced meets all quality requirements and policies, performing basic maintenance as needed to uphold these standards. Additionally, you will be involved in continuous improvement activities, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to the company's safety policies. Responsibilities
- Start up the machines in a timely manner.
- Inspect and verify the working condition of the machine and its assigned tooling.
- Prepare the tooling for production.
- Maintain correct machine parameter set points throughout the production shift.
- Ensure that all necessary data is correctly entered into Plex.
- Ensure that source inventories related to the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained.
- Ensure the assigned machine is producing foam that meets quality requirements and policies.
- Perform basic maintenance on the machine to ensure foam quality, including pressure adjustments and orifice cleaning.
- Ensure that parts produced during the molding operation are correctly labeled and maintained to quality requirements.
- Alert appropriate personnel of quality or equipment deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean work area and assist in maintaining the company 5S system.
- Follow Creative Foam policies and procedures and promote the organization's safety efforts.
- Positively reinforce production goals, standards, and work ethic in work areas.
