The Production Associate role at Pull-A-Part involves assisting customers with automotive issues while adhering to safety and environmental standards. This entry-level position focuses on customer service, equipment maintenance, and operational tasks in an industrial outdoor environment. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, possess basic automotive knowledge, and be committed to the company's core values of respect, help, learn, and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a culture that focuses on 'Safety First' & 'Environmental Stewardship'.
  • Perform daily tasks with a positive attitude and focus on company values.
  • Prioritize cleanliness and appearance of the facility and work area.
  • Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service.
  • Abide by company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Comply with the company dress code and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform daily inspections on equipment and tools, reporting defects to supervisors.
  • Conduct general equipment and building maintenance as directed.
  • Operate hand tools and fixed equipment such as air compressors and hydraulic shears.
  • Operate industrial equipment like loaders and forklifts if trained.
  • Prepare vehicles for processing by removing trash and auto parts.
  • Safely remove vehicle fluids and components as instructed by SOPs.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly secured during transport and dismantling.
  • Clean tools daily to maintain organization and accountability.
  • Help maintain accurate reporting on inventory levels.
  • Meet personal and team performance goals.
  • Commit to working production hours, including occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work in an industrial, outdoor environment with exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Learn new skills and assist teammates with automotive salvage and recycling tasks.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • General automotive mechanic understanding and application.
  • Basic knowledge of auto parts.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use mobile devices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience using both hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required.
  • Reliable means of transportation to work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in maintenance on heavy operating equipment such as loaders and forklifts.
