Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes.
• Clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and areas of the plant according to job standards.
• Clean and sanitize food processing equipment and facilities.
• Operate specialized equipment such as floor scrubbers and scissor lifts to perform job functions.
• Prevent cross-contamination of product and food contact surfaces during sanitation procedures.
• Follow all company Sanitation SOPs for cleaning equipment and facility.
• Perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervisor approval.
• Remove trash/garbage from the facility; mop as needed, and clean floor drains and exterior areas requiring attention.
• Complete all required sanitation and work order documentation.
• Wash and maintain cleaning carts and tools.
• Maintain all sanitation-related equipment including automatic floor scrubbers and vacuums.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked, organized, and on-hand.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous cleaning experience (preferred)
