About the position

The Production Control Demand Planner at Raytheon plays a crucial role in coordinating activities across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to ensure efficient production processes. This position requires a seasoned professional to manage projects, influence decision-making, and establish inventory management processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role is primarily onsite, emphasizing collaboration with various teams to support production and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interdependent activities with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Support analysis of multiple Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing work orders and tracking material through the assembly process.
  • Coordinate with warehousing and other Hubs/Factories for parts to the floor.
  • Support new product transition to production efforts and align communication with the factory team to drive action plans.
  • Participate with CORE teams/projects to accomplish continuous improvement.
  • Manage projects or processes development efforts.
  • Influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Influence factory and program decision making.
  • Establish inventory management processes in a newer/engineering factory environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years relevant experience or advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes value stream leadership, MRP/ERP (SAP or equivalent), Planning and Production Control, or Project management.
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.
  • US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Planning and Production Control experience in a manufacturing or development environment.
  • Demonstrated people management/leadership skills and ability to influence across multiple functions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience with CORE processes, tools, and applications.
  • Experience leading teams in cost reduction/process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Depot, Sales and Operations Planning as well as Inventory Management.
  • Strong Operations manufacturing and financial business acumen, including the ability to manage to staffing budget.
  • Strong MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) knowledge and analytical skills.
