The position is for a Production Control Specialist at Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA), where you will be responsible for tracking daily production output, coordinating day-to-day operations, managing quality control, and assisting in contamination elimination processes. You will also support communication between Japanese and English-speaking team members.

Responsibilities

  • Support English/Japanese communication as an expert interpreter/translator among Japanese TAs and US PENA members.
  • Conduct daily patrols of the production floors to manage the production process.
  • Control the Three Fix (fix position, fix items, and fix amount/quantity) of stocks and OK/NG products.
  • Collect and compile daily production quantity and quality control data for reporting.
  • Enhance productivity of the assembly production process by identifying issues.
  • Identify risks and promote improvements, such as 5S and contamination prevention.
  • Train local PENA employees on quality control methods and localization training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Japanese.
  • Working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking.

  • Basic knowledge of battery assembly production process.
  • Alignment to Panasonic's seven core principles.
