About the position

The Production Control Supervisor at SMA Healthcare is responsible for establishing rapport with clients and developing positive working relationships with clients, community customers, and the Enrichment Clinical Director. This role involves scheduling production activities for numerous staff and clients, assigning daily work assignments, and reporting production needs to the Program Supervisor or Program Director. The supervisor will also train staff in task analysis and quality control, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and assist in the development and assessment of new jobs. The position requires effective communication with various stakeholders and adherence to safety and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport with clients and develop positive working relationships.
  • Schedule production activities and assign daily work assignments.
  • Report short and long term production needs to the Program Supervisor or Program Director.
  • Train staff in the appropriate use of task analysis and quality control.
  • Assist in the preparation of time studies and task analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with federal rules and regulations regarding piece rates and wages.
  • Oversee timesheets for all clients at Enrichment.
  • Ensure compliance with funding, regulatory, and accrediting standards.
  • Assist in the development and assessment of new jobs.
  • Ensure safety, security, and exposure/infection control procedures are followed.
  • Communicate with the public, outside agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize quality control procedures and inspect work for improvement.
  • Manage inventory and associated records.
  • Operate equipment such as a forklift and power tools.
  • Participate in Client Employee Council meetings.
  • Understand and teach manufacturing software used in Enrichment.
  • Perform miscellaneous job duties as required.

Requirements

  • Associates degree and two years experience in business or production management/supervision.
  • Experience with persons with disabling conditions preferred.
  • Basic knowledge in adult mental health and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of hazards and precautions for labor and trade operations.
  • Good knowledge of quality control procedures.
  • Ability to plan work activities and instruct personnel.
  • Ability to intervene with verbally and/or physically abusive clients.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and various equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of ISO, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma.
