About the position
The Production Coordinator for the Indirect Truss Shop at Builders FirstSource is responsible for converting engineering data into shop fabrication data, ensuring effective communication with the production line regarding manufacturing needs. This role involves various administrative and clerical tasks to facilitate the production process, including creating necessary documentation and managing job releases.
Responsibilities
- Perform all administrative duties required to convert engineering data into shop fabrication data.
- Perform all clerical tasks associated with releasing a job into the shop.
- Create applicable cut lists, bunking lists, fabrication drawings, and electronic files necessary to operate the shop floor and computerized manufacturing equipment.
- Create job folders and generate shop drawings by work center.
- Batch jobs and create cutting reports.
- Simultaneously create automated saw files and projection fabrication files.
- Release job to production team and update scheduling status.
- Edit work orders in On-Line Software for shop labor totals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 18 months of truss fabrication experience.
