About the position

The Production Coordinator/Operations Assistant at Southern Oregon University's Digital Media Center (DMC) plays a vital role in supporting the operations of RVTV and the services offered by the DMC. This position involves videography, video editing, and providing A/V services for live events, as well as coordinating instructional workshops in production technology. The role also includes technical support for academic classes and contributing to marketing initiatives and social media content.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the weekly operations of RVTV and support productions and services offered by the DMC.
  • Operate multi-camera TV systems for live meetings and events, ensuring proper audio levels and signal distribution.
  • Assist with production coordination, including scheduling, scriptwriting, videography, and post-production support.
  • Support media education classes and programs, including equipment maintenance and technical support for faculty and students.
  • Contribute content for social media assets and assist with marketing and outreach initiatives.

Requirements

  • Five years of television production videography experience, including at least two years of broadcast quality experience.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments with fluctuating deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • BA/BS in communication, film/television, media, or similar.
  • Experience with broadcast television production and multi-camera robotic production systems.
  • Familiarity with educational environments in film, video, or television production.
