About the position
Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Production Engineer Intern to apply classroom knowledge in a practical setting. The intern will track data, analyze processes, and recommend improvements based on data gathered from manufacturing facilities. This role is designed for students pursuing degrees in engineering and will provide hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Define manufacturing process issues, collect data, analyze facts, implement solutions, and review as needed.
- Document new processes.
- Partner with and influence stakeholders across the organization, such as Operations, Product, and Technology to address process-related activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and exemplary oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to write reports and analyze raw data.
