About the position
The Production Engineer Intern position at Oldcastle Infrastructure offers students the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. Interns will engage in data tracking, process analysis, and solution recommendations to improve manufacturing processes within the company. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the utility infrastructure sector, specifically in manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Define manufacturing process issues, collect data, analyze facts, implement solutions, and review as needed
- Documentation of new processes
- Partner with and influence stakeholders across the organization, such as Operations, Product, and Technology to address process-related activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime
Requirements
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing or other related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and exemplary oral/written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Ability to write reports and analyze raw data
