About The Position

The position is for entry-level production workers at Steel Dynamics, Inc., specifically within the Superior Aluminum Alloys division. Successful candidates will be part of a motivated team responsible for various tasks in the aluminum smelting operation, including material handling, quality inspection, and product packaging.

Requirements

• Self-motivation and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well and communicate with a team
• Reliable attendance working 12-hour shifts on rotating 4-on/4-off schedule
• Fundamental math and reading skills with ability to learn various production processes

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Previous forklift or similar mobile equipment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling mobile equipment such as forklifts
• Prepare various aluminum products for shipment including proper packaging and labeling
• Inspect finished product for quality
• Complete other tasks with their teammates as needed
