The Production Event Bar Manager will manage the entire bar operation, which includes staffing, inventory control, customer service, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is essential in creating a seamless and enjoyable bar experience for event attendees while maximizing profitability and operational efficiency. In this position, the Production Event Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bar operations at events. This includes planning bar layouts and stations based on the specific needs of each event, ensuring that the bar area is organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards. The manager will monitor the quality of bar service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising bartenders, as well as scheduling staff shifts according to event size and anticipated demand. The Production Event Bar Manager will also oversee inventory and supply management, ensuring that all bar inventory is purchased, stored, and managed effectively. This includes tracking inventory levels before and after events to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock. The manager will conduct regular audits of inventory and maintain vendor relationships for bar supplies. Collaboration with event planners, catering teams, and production staff is crucial to ensure that bar services are seamlessly integrated into the overall event experience. The manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol, maintaining a safe environment for both staff and guests, and managing cash handling and credit card transactions at the bar. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and guests, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in hospitality, bartending, or event management are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in bar management, preferably in an event production or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations, drink preparation, and customer service.
  • Excellent leadership and staff management skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory, budgets, and profitability effectively.
  • Strong communication, planning and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of alcohol service laws and health regulations.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
