About the position

The Production & Events Specialist plays a crucial role in the production and events team, focusing on creating high-quality video content and supporting various communication and training initiatives for the organization. This position involves overseeing the entire video production process, from script development to final editing, ensuring that the finished product meets and exceeds client expectations. The specialist will also be responsible for providing audio-visual support during corporate functions and live broadcasts, which includes managing camera and audio equipment, as well as directing video switching during events. In addition to video production, the role requires the administration of digital displays across the corporate campus, ensuring that all displays are functioning correctly and displaying the intended content. The specialist will also be tasked with researching and procuring rental equipment necessary for various events, ensuring that all technical aspects are covered to facilitate smooth operations. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office work in South Florida for part of the week while allowing remote work on other days. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio-visual production, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. The role demands creativity, effective communication skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines, making it essential for the specialist to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

  • Produces most video content for the organization from script to screen, including editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product exceeding client expectations.
  • Provides audio-visual support for in-house corporate functions, presentations, and live broadcasts, including maintaining and preparing camera and audio equipment.
  • Manages camera and video switching during events, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Broadcasts live and pre-recorded studio video, including Tri-caster operation, lighting, audio, teleprompter operation, and directing.
  • Administers digital displays around the corporate campus, ensuring displays are powered on and content is displaying as intended, troubleshooting as needed.
  • Researches and procures rental equipment in support of events.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in A/V industry required.
  • InfoComm-Recognized AV Technologist and Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification preferred.
  • Creative problem-solving ability, able to adhere to and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Professional audio visual equipment operation, non-linear editing, and networking technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Tri-caster (a plus).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Cruise industry is an asset but not necessary.
