About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving produce from the production floor to the stacking room and then to the warehouse for shipment. This role involves performing general labor tasks, accurately labeling and scanning pallets, pre-staging materials, and following directions from supervisors. The operator must work safely and comply with all food safety and quality management systems. Additionally, the operator will use a handheld scanner to document inventory moves and submit batch sheets at the end of their shift.

Requirements

• Proof of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience may be helpful.
• Exposure to manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience.
• Requires Forklift Training/Certification.
• Strong oral and communication skills.
• Calculator knowledge to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

• Willingness to continue education through approved courses or classes.

Responsibilities

• Transfer product from the production floor to the stacking room, correctly wrap and label pallets, and scan to racks correctly.
• Keep shrink wrappers and production floor clean and in order, clear of debris.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by managers, supervisors, and leads.
