About the position

We are seeking a talented Production Graphic Designer to join our established print, design, and sign company in Ozark, MO. The role involves graphic design and pre-press experience, focusing on client communication and production processes. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and experience with digital print production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with clients face-to-face, via email and phone to facilitate print production and design orders.
  • Create work orders and quotes, and process invoices for client projects using Quickbooks and Excel.
  • Communicate directly and effectively with other team members.
  • Follow up with clients regarding proofs and other project inquiries.
  • Ensure that clients are satisfied with products or services.
  • Educate clients about additional products, services, and ways we can help them market their business.
  • Effectively operate complex digital press/copier, folder, cutter, and other equipment.
  • Determine the quickest, most effective ways to answer a client's questions.

Requirements

  • Experience designing in Adobe Creative Suite applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop)
  • Experience manipulating client-supplied files for production using the Adobe Suite programs
  • Experience with digital print production equipment (such as Xerox, Minolta, etc.)
  • Experience with office applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and/or Google Docs, Google Sheets
  • Proficiency with client relations, including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of different paper types
  • Knowledge of print-related products
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Multitask and prioritize with outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly and professionally on the telephone and face-to-face with co-workers and clients

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of pre-press graphics, including bleed and trapping, is preferred, but we will train the right person
  • Knowledge of paper brands
  • Ability to read, measure and manipulate specifications with accuracy
  • Experience in website layout using WordPress (also using theme engines like Divi, and Elementor)
