About the position

The Production Group Supervisor I at LISI Aerospace is responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities within their assigned production group to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes. This role emphasizes adherence to health, safety, environmental standards, and quality specifications while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate activities within the assigned production group unit.
• Identify and mitigate safety risks on the shop floor.
• Conduct HSE audits and risk assessments in the area of responsibility.
• Inspect products in process to verify conformance to quality specifications.
• Manage Batch Rejection Rate and participate in root cause analysis activities.
• Ensure production goals are met and optimize throughput by addressing bottlenecks.
• Drive OEE improvement and enforce an overlap system for team members.
• Execute corrective actions and conduct performance evaluations for team members.
• Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• 4 years of equivalent combination of education and supervisory aerospace experience required.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Statistical Process Control and Shop Floor Systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring tools.
