About the position

The Production IT Manager is a pivotal role within Clair, responsible for the implementation, maintenance, documentation, and support of the production IT infrastructure. This position is crucial for ensuring that all production IT equipment is properly configured and applied in collaboration with operations personnel. The Production IT Manager will focus on maintaining the necessary configurations and upkeep of IT equipment to ensure seamless operations. In this role, the manager will excel in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a positive attitude. The ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders is essential, as the manager will need to understand and create solutions that meet the needs of various departments. Proactive initiative is key, as the manager will be expected to take on projects and see them through to completion, all while maintaining a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Additionally, the role requires a willingness to travel both domestically and internationally to visit Clair branch offices and client sites, ensuring that the production IT infrastructure is consistently supported and enhanced. The Production IT Manager will also be involved in events that require additional support, such as Coachella and Bottle Rock, showcasing the dynamic nature of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Netgear, Microsoft, and Netgate, including standardized access control, IP addressing, and configurations.
  • Document existing network deployment and advise on network upgrades and design changes.
  • Collaborate with Clair, Clair Data Services, and Clair MSP clients and engineers regarding network design and related issues.
  • Participate in the refinement of Clair's initiative by improving the infrastructure standards to ensure the highest level of network and resource function.
  • Be willing and able to participate in CDS events that require additional support (Coachella, Bottle Rock, etc.) at supervisor's discretion.
  • Manage and maintain computer imaging for show PCs.
  • Assure that all equipment is deployed with the Clair standard firmware or correct firmware based on show need.
  • Manage and maintain additional resources that pertain to networking, including fiber, SFP modules, and rack maintenance for use on show site.

Requirements

  • Experience with deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, fiber-optics, Wi-Fi access points, computer imaging, and VoIP technologies and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of digital audio and related protocols (AES67, Dante, IEEE1588, SMPTE2110).
  • Experience terminating and troubleshooting fiber optic, copper cabling, and associated IT electronics.
  • Experience with sound reinforcement systems and their related components is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive initiative to take on projects and see them through to completion.
