About the position
The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process in a designated area, ensuring product quality and output. This role involves assigning tasks, monitoring progress, providing technical guidance, and troubleshooting issues to optimize production efficiency. The Production Lead also plays a key role in training new team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assign, monitor and review progress, quality, and accuracy of work.
- Direct efforts and provide technical guidance on complex issues.
- Provide input into performance reviews and train new team members.
- Troubleshoot and correct a variety of issues.
- Monitor machine performance to optimize process and resolve problems.
- Assist in root cause analysis and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure high productivity and reduce production down times.
- Update management on issues impacting team goals and suggest resolutions.
Requirements
- 2 years experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment
- Ability to read and write in English
- Basic use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Prior experience training, leading or managing employees
