The Production Lead/Heat Seal Lead position at Outdoor Custom Sportswear involves overseeing a team of heat seal operators in the production department. Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the daily tasks of the Heat Seal Operator team, ensuring efficient and accurate production output.
• Train new and existing team members on proper heat seal press operation techniques, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Ensure all heat-sealed products meet the company's quality standards by monitoring production output and conducting regular inspections.
• Maintain optimal workflow by troubleshooting any issues with the heat press machinery and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
• Work with the department supervisor to plan and assign tasks to meet daily production targets, deadlines, and special orders.
• Enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for the entire team.
• Report any incidents or hazards to the management.
• Keep accurate records of production metrics, such as output levels, machine maintenance schedules, and employee performance.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials, including heat transfers, substrates, and tools, to ensure continuous production without delays.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead and encourage team members to meet the required daily goals.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of production management experience
• 1 year of order management experience
• Knowledge of heat seal processes, machinery, and quality control standards is a bonus
• Strong team leadership skills
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to perform in a team setting
• Physical ability and stamina for repetitive standing, walking, bending, pulling, stacking, pushing, and lifting throughout the shift
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
• Ability to work overtime when needed
