Production Leadperson I

About the position

The Production Leadperson I at Flowers Bakery of Montgomery is responsible for assisting supervisors in the operations of shift production, ensuring product safety, legality, and quality. This role requires the ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, and involves training production employees, maintaining equipment, and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that production employees are instructed and trained in the care and safe operations of equipment.
• Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials.
• Perform continuous inspection of products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition.
• Promote positive relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
• Operate the facility metal detector(s) after being fully trained and certified.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel through enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Plan and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of production.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures.
• Complete AIB Master Baker Correspondence Course.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.

Requirements

• Two (2) or more years experience in all areas of plant production work.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
