PRODUCTION MACHINE OPERATOR

About the position

The Production Machine Operator at LISI AEROSPACE is responsible for setting up and operating automatic machines to produce high-tech metal components for the aerospace industry. This role emphasizes adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. The operator will work under supervision, ensuring that machines are functioning correctly and that parts meet specifications, while also contributing to a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic setups and operate up to three automatic machines to produce parts according to specifications.
• Recognize and detect machine out-of-tolerance and adjust controls as required.
• Conduct basic trial runs to check accuracy of machine settings.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications using gauges and shop floor systems.
• Recognize and remedy minor machine malfunctions and conduct in-process inspections.
• Provide necessary information to the Manufacturing and Engineering teams to document procedures and drawings.
• Perform record keeping, data entry, and housekeeping while following safety regulations.
• Attend all training provided and adhere to HSE procedures and policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace fastener manufacturing.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of SPC & Shop Floor Systems.
• Ability to perform basic shop math and comprehend detailed instructions.
