About the position

The Production / Maintenance Plant Manager at Doren Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily and strategic operations of the Concrete Production Facility in Aliquippa, PA. This role involves managing production, maintenance, quality assurance, and office staff, ensuring efficient operations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting manufacturing equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Office staff.
• Communicate expectations, performance, and organizational goals to employees.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with manufacturing equipment, including hands-on work.
• Observe plant equipment daily to foresee production issues before they arise.
• Manage Profit and Loss by optimizing production efficiencies and controlling costs.
• Review production schedules, including mandatory overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
• Maintain and communicate site safety policies and protocols.
• Assist in the interview, hiring, and training process for new employees.
• Ensure effective training and development opportunities for current and potential future roles.
• Review time cards, vacation schedules, and travel expenses, and approve overtime requests.
• Promote a continuous improvement mindset among all employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Reliability-Centered Maintenance or similar methodology training preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured.
• Hydraulic & pneumatic certification preferred.
• Forklift Certification preferred.
