About the position

The Value Stream Manager at RiteScreen is responsible for achieving annual objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost within the assigned value stream. This role emphasizes Lean transformation through education, kaizen activities, and effective problem-solving, requiring over 10 years of experience in production management, preferably in a window or screen manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the ongoing development of a continuous improvement culture for the Value Stream
• Assist employees in efforts focused on driving employee involvement and empowerment
• Drive operational excellence using Lean tools, best practices, and continuous improvement
• Study existing processes to identify opportunities to drive out waste and improve profitability and process efficiency
• Provide relevant training and coaching to ensure employees meet daily production goals
• Continuously review and improve operational productivity
• Facilitate problem solving within the Value Stream

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in production management
• Experience in a window or screen manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to provide motivation, leadership, communication, and coaching to employees
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Analytically minded and data-driven
• Effective project management skills
• Proven track record of creating and sustaining an effective Value Stream work environment
• Experience managing a team in a manufacturing environment
• Practical experience in problem solving training and Lean manufacturing

Nice-to-haves

• Three to five years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Advanced knowledge of departmental technical requirements
