About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team at Quantum Fulfillment Services. The ideal candidate will be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, operating machinery, and following instructions and safety standards. This position is an entry-level role that serves as a pathway to our management track. The successful candidate should possess exceptional organizational and time management skills, be able to multitask, and work effectively as part of a team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the management of production schedules, inventory, and supply chain operations. You will develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and components. Additionally, you will assist in supervising staff and training new employees, collaborating with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvement, and participating in company meetings. The position may require you to work the night shift once a month as part of our management rotation, which will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our operations. The ideal candidate should be willing and comfortable working on the production floor, making books, and handling multiple projects and administrative duties as assigned. You will implement and maintain effective safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in managing production schedules, inventory, and supply chain operations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Assist in supervising staff and training new employees.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvement and other company initiatives.
  • Work with the production team in the creation of books to meet production demands.
  • Coordinate with other organizations and departments and participate in company meetings.
  • Implement and maintain effective safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or relevant experience in a related field
  • Experience in production management, quality control, or supply chain operations is a plus
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn various programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize when several tasks are given
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, bilingual is a plus
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with plant management and production management principles
