About the position

The Production Manager - Corrugator at Smurfit Westrock is responsible for overseeing production operations at the plant, ensuring safety, maintenance, planning, and shipping are effectively managed. This role focuses on building relationships with internal departments to produce high-quality products while adhering to company standards and commitments. The Production Manager plays a crucial role in establishing goals related to uptime, quality, and productivity, while controlling manufacturing costs within budgetary limits.

Responsibilities

• Establish goals and execute results relating to uptime, quality, and productivity.
• Control manufacturing and conversion costs within budgetary limits.
• Ensure compliance with WestRock standards and customer commitments regarding quality, safety, output, and on-time delivery.
• Develop action plans for self and others to accomplish goals.
• Build and maintain effective relationships to improve overall plant production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 7+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong preference for industry experience.
• Ability to collaborate with others outside the line of formal authority to achieve organizational goals and resolve problems.
• Ability to respond quickly to changing demands and updated information.
• Customer-focused mindset with actions taken in the best interest of WestRock.
• Effective motivator and communicator.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
