About the position

Zober Industries is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager for our Electronics Circuit Board manufacturing area. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient production of electronic products while maintaining high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. The Production Manager will become a technical expert in electronics board manufacturing and will oversee a team of over 30 employees, managing all aspects from efficiency and attendance to performance reviews and conflict resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highly automated electronics manufacturing processes, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), and various soldering techniques, both manual and automated. In this fast-paced environment, the Production Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the complex receipt of electronic components, the manufacturing of circuit boards, and the timely shipment of quality products. This includes evaluating current manufacturing practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance productivity while reducing costs. The role requires strong leadership skills to motivate and manage the production team effectively, ensuring that all safety and health standards are met to maintain an accident-free workplace. The Production Manager will also be tasked with establishing production schedules, enforcing quality control measures to minimize waste, and communicating regularly with team members regarding any issues impacting production. Additionally, the role involves evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production with minimal downtime and developing workflow policies that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality. The successful candidate will be expected to set goals for each manufacturing team and manage all personnel issues from performance to rewards, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a staff to deliver electronic product on time with good cost and quality.
  • Manage and coordinate complex receipt of electronic components, the manufacture of circuit boards, and the timely shipment of quality products.
  • Evaluate current manufacturing practices, identify and manage improvements.
  • Manage production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity.
  • Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
  • Assign work to employees and manage them A to Z.
  • Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization accident-free.
  • Communicate regularly regarding problems or issues impacting production.
  • Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
  • Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs.
  • Set goals for each manufacturing team.
  • Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensure adequate scheduling of staff.
  • Manage all people issues A to Z including resolving concerns, conflict resolution, performance, attendance, tardiness, and rewards like raises or promotions.

Requirements

  • An Electrical Engineering degree with focus on electronics is highly recommended.
  • Experience fabricating, troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with all types of manual and automated soldering.
  • Strong experience performing, managing testing all types of soldering, circuit boards and multiple electro-mechanical devices.
  • Ability to program and operate Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) 2D and 3D equipment and use efficiently for inspection of circuit boards.
  • Experience running wave and select solder equipment lead and lead-free.
  • Experience with SMT assembly including pick and place, reflow profiling, and x-ray inspection.
  • Top tier computer skills, especially ERP systems like SAP and intermediate Excel.
  • Strong proven leadership to manage and motivate others to optimal performance.
  • Ability to adjust to changing resources and output requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Good leadership skills to manage and implement productivity changes.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data.
