About the position

The Production Manager at INWESCO is a pivotal role responsible for leading and directing the overall production and maintenance operations in alignment with the company's vision and values. This position emphasizes fostering a "Culture of Safety" among staff and all employees by promoting and modeling an Employee Driven, Hazard Controlled environment. The Production Manager will advise the local business on long-term strategic direction and manage the production plan on a daily and weekly basis to meet delivery schedules and budgeted cost and efficiency expectations. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a key focus, driving enhancements through appropriate channels within the operation. Additionally, the role involves managing the coordination and execution of predictive and preventative maintenance plans through the maintenance management system, ensuring that asset reliability meets or exceeds performance expectations. The Production Manager is also accountable for ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and regulations for the safe and environmentally compliant production of quality products. This includes implementing training plans for production and maintenance staff, promoting key aspects of the overall succession plan process, and assisting with plant manager responsibilities as needed. The role requires a proactive approach to process improvements, including optimizing resource management, asset utilization, and team dynamics, while ensuring effective communication and training within the team. The Production Manager will also oversee the plant layout to ensure optimal safety and efficiency, manage inventory processes, and ensure compliance with OSHA training requirements. Overall, this position is integral to maintaining a high standard of production and operational excellence within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for overall production and maintenance operations.

  • Manage and coordinate the production plan to meet delivery schedules and budgeted cost/efficiency expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through appropriate channels in the operation.
  • Manage the coordination and execution of predictive/preventative maintenance plans.
  • Ensure asset reliability meets or exceeds performance expectations.
  • Hold self and staff accountable for adherence to standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Ensure training plans for production and maintenance staff are in place and followed.
  • Assist with plant manager responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years leadership experience in an industrial environment leading multiple departments.
  • Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production or related field or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' demonstrated manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and allocate resources.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing and utilizing processes and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of effective and efficient production and manufacturing methods.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated successful application of managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated skills or knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis skills.
