About the position

The Production Manager will oversee and coordinate resources including people, materials, and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient production of finished products. This role is crucial in applying Ecolab standards, driving cultural change, and advancing the company's Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) journey. The manager will inspire associates and ensure operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the execution of the production plan and implement countermeasures in time.
  • Ensure that quality, safety, and environmental standards are respected at all times.
  • Develop and implement the labor, material, and spend forecast in line with budget.
  • Drive the daily control system (DCS) to achieve plant results and apply a proper escalation process.
  • Ensure that the organization implements and maintains 5S and other AM standards.
  • Liaise with all other departments to ensure manufacturing requirements are prioritized.
  • Apply a proper escalation process on non-conformities and ensure root causes are identified and resolved.
  • Be visible on the production floor and accessible to the operations team, role modeling company values and vision.
  • Closely monitor manufacturing KPIs to identify and implement actions for continuous improvement.
  • Identify skill gaps and succession requirements, ensuring plans are in place for closure and monitor performance against plan.
  • Ensure frequent and timely communications on all levels of the production organization regarding plant targets and achieved results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years relevant experience
  • Previous supervisory experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
  • 4 years manufacturing or military supervisory experience
  • 3 years production experience in a food, chemical, beverage or related batch manufacturing environment
  • SAP Experience
  • Previous experience in a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) environment
  • Previous project management experience
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Demonstrated capability of working in a production environment with careful attention to standards of work and behaviors
  • Proven track record of managing a department and leading others
