About the position

The Production Manager at Hubbell Incorporated is responsible for leading all aspects of operations within the manufacturing facility in Mayville, WI. This role focuses on managing personnel, enhancing productivity, and ensuring on-time delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. The Production Manager will implement company policies, develop team goals, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct overall operations of the production facility.
• Maintain a safe working environment consistent with local, state, and OSHA requirements.
• Originates, measures, and improves key performance indicators for the production team.
• Enhance the LEAN culture within the organization.
• Ensure the production area is clean and well-organized through continuous improvement and 5S practices.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement activities to eliminate non-value-added activities in the manufacturing process.
• Approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources to meet productivity and customer requirements.
• Establish work requirements and ensure production schedules are met.
• Develop staff and foster a culture dedicated to high levels of quality and customer service.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience as a Production/Operations Manager in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma principles.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a union environment preferred.
